Your fuse should show only the tiniest resistance (put the two wires of your meter together when on ohm test

you should show little or no resistance) if your fuse is working ok, then you should have little more resistance accross the fuse (see below)

As you see below, i am testing the fuse at a battery connector, when these go, your battery will not charge, or work, (more unusual), you can normally find similar fuses (or links) at the power input, or power sockets
